About the company
Visionest Institute OÜ (formerly Turundusproff OÜ) is a company whose main focus is export and marketing training, as well as management training and consulting. Our trainers are the best specialists and practitioners in their field, whose mission is to effectively and efficiently pass on their knowledge and experience. We use innovative training methods that combine online and contact training, networking, mentoring, coaching, practical exercises, consultations, etc. Our goal is to provide training in a way that allows participants to easily and effectively apply new knowledge in their work.
We also publish Estonia's only management magazine, Director, which combines exciting topics from both the management and technology fields.
Large-scale marketing projects
In parallel with export training, we have been working on various marketing projects since 2010. The launch of the airport in 2013 resulted in 320,000 visitors in the first year, with the main markets being Estonia, Finland, Russia, Sweden and Germany. The re-introduction of the Tallinn TV Tower as a tourist attraction in the Estonian, Latvian, Finnish and Russian markets brought 240,000 visitors in a year.
In the period 2016-2018, we supported the marketing of 12 small ports in Eastern Estonia and Eastern Finland in the Estonian, Finnish and Swedish markets within the framework of the INTERREG project.
In 2017, a project to market Ida-Virumaa as an adventure tourism attraction began, which increased the number of overnight stays in local accommodation by 50,000 per year in 2018.
Since 2015, we have been organizing the international conference Tallinn Marketing Week, which attracts more than 500 participants and international speakers from all over Europe every year.
Innovative learning programs
Our team started experimenting with blended learning methods back in 2012, when the first virtual product development incubator for creative companies was created. E-learning, combined with group mentoring and company-based independent tasks and seminars in a contact learning format, gave companies a solid foundation for developing new products, learning and testing new business models, planning marketing and implementing the basics of management.
The next step in improving the same method was to create a virtual (creative company) export incubator: as an innovation, mentoring from international experts and practical trade fair preparation with on-site guidance were introduced.
In 2017, we had the opportunity to implement the developed model on an international scale - we launched the Export Revolution project in Ukraine, which is one of the largest export projects there in terms of its volume. In 2018, we also focused on creative companies there as a separate project. In 2019, we signed an agreement with Chemonics, one of the world's largest development cooperation organizations, to conduct the third cycle of export training, called Ukrainian Export Evolution, funded by USAID.
Export training programs
Since 2010, we have been one of the main partners of the Enterprise Development Foundation in the field of export training. Over the years, we have trained more than 600 Estonian companies exporting or interested in exporting in more than ten training series.
In 2011-2013, we implemented the Export Revolution program, within which we recruited 50 young people with experience working abroad to work in 50 Estonian companies. The training and mentoring program, which lasted the entire first year of work, allowed them to generate an average of 1 million euros in turnover in the selected export market within a year after completing the program.
In 2014-2015, we conducted an e-learning program for export managers to enter the Canadian and British markets in cooperation with the Swedish company ITM Worldwide.
In 2017-2018, as part of the Mission Germany program, we trained Estonian companies whose export target was the German market in cooperation with the consulting company Steinbeis. In the practical training program, German business consultants also helped companies find suitable clients and organize business meetings with them.
In 2018-2019, we conducted a training and mentoring program “Strategy Practicum” for 32 small and medium-sized companies in Estonia.
In 2018-2020, we conducted export training in the Systematic Export in Europe program, the target markets of which were Germany, Sweden and Norway.
In 2021, we launched the first online export program in Estonia, “Systematic Export in Europe through Digital Sales Channels,” which consists of webinars and consultations, where consultants and market experts share their approach based on the changed market situation due to the pandemic. The focus is on the markets of Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Germany.
